PHTLS Provider Course

The PHTLS Provider Course is designed to provide an intensive 16-hour course of emergency care, medical staff, nurses, medical assistants and physicians. This course is offered at basic, advanced or combined levels. PHTLS Training is a continuing education program created and run by the PHTLS National NAEMT Associations in conjunction with the American College of Surgery Injury Committee. Comprehensive evidence-based coverage brings together the latest research on all aspects of prehospital trauma in one convenient resource. PHTLS credentials are valid for 4 years and provide 16 hours to continue learning. Students are expected to participate in lectures, training stations, station reviews, and skill testing.
